Welcome to my Alebrijes World!

Welcome to my Alebrijes World!
Alebrijes are brightly colored Mexican folk-art sculptures of fantastical creatures. They originated in the 1930s in Mexico City and are often made from papier-mâché or wood.
The intricate designs and vibrant colors make alebrijes visually stunning. They have become a significant part of Mexican culture and are often associated with Day of the Dead celebrations.
These imaginative creatures are a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship of Mexican artisans.

My “Alebrijes” print inspiration is dedicated to this Mexican tradition.

It was such a beautiful process to sketch and draw these strange colorful creatures.
